MedAdventures is looking for a skilled and compassionate RN Med/Surg to join one of our partners in Central, Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
- Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
- Evaluates patient's response and modifies plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
- Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- RN license
- 1 yr exp
Facility Information:
- 32 Bed Inpatient Floors
- Specializing in: Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery, Medical Specialties, Oncology/Neurology, Orthopedic Specialties, and Surgical Specialties
- Number 1 Hospital in Mid-Missouri for 7 consecutive years
Compensation and Schedule:
Full time (36 hrs/wk), nights, 7pm-7:30am, weekend rotation as required, weekend option available with premium pay eligibility, benefits begin first day of employment, relocation assistance eligible, 52-93k/yr
