- BLS – American Heart Association
- IV Therapy
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing
- RN/LVN active license in the state of TX
- COVID Vaccination
- 1 year of recent experience
- Consent to a drug screen prior to start
- Valid Driver’s License
- Plan and manage patient care according to each patient’s needs
- Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration
- Implementation of physician orders
- Follow & apply charting protocols
- Provide wound care
- Administer medications
- Perform clinical procedures within the scope of license
- Healthcare is delivered in a controlled environment within the prison – setting is similar to an outpatient urgent care clinic
- Healthcare is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team to include nursing, physicians, APPs, dentist, and mental health professionals
- Healthcare delivered includes but is not limited to evaluation/diagnosis, implementation of protocols, delivery of medications, chronic care visits, urgent care, emergent care, etc. – visits will include scheduled from sick call request, walk-in's, urgent or emergent care
- EMR System is PEARL – software system created specifically for this facility
- Rotations are 12hr shifts on a 36/48 schedule – includes 36hrs one week and 48hrs the following – basically includes 13-16 shifts per month with every other weekend off
