Job Summary:
Medadventures is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will work with residents to help them regain their independence in daily activities, providing essential rehabilitation and therapeutic services. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living skills and functional mobility.
  • Utilize therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and other techniques to help patients regain independence.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a well-rounded approach to care.
  • Educate residents and their families on at-home care strategies and safety precautions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
