Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ physical and cognitive abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving daily living skills and functional mobility.
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and other techniques to help patients regain independence.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a well-rounded approach to care.
- Educate residents and their families on at-home care strategies and safety precautions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
