MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at our Mountainside, NJ Location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess expertise in various areas.

DETAILS:
  • Schedule: 5 days a week
    • MWF: 8 to 4.30
    • T/Th 11-7.30
  • Job Types: Full-time, Contract
  • Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
  • Currently two FTEs and one per diem to cover two evenings a week.
  • Patient volume includes 2 patients per hour with occasional double books.
  • Patient population includes orthopedics, some balance patients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Evaluates patients; interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
  • Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.
  • Implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient; coordinates with other health care personnel as appropriate.
  • Provides advice and education to patient and family.
  • Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patient toward goals, and need for modifying goals and treatment.
  • Initiates discharge planning when patient has received maximum benefit from therapy.
  • Provides accurate, timely documentation of physical therapy patient management.
  • Monitors and maintains essential patient care and safety during procedures; applies safety principles as identified by established policy.
  • Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.
  • Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree of an accredited physical therapy curriculum
  • State physical therapy license
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
