We are currently seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Reading, PA, and help deliver high-quality therapy services.
Position Overview:
As a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to provide hands-on care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. Your role will involve implementing individualized treatment plans that aim to improve patients' ability to perform daily activities, regain functional skills, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Support patients in exercises and activities designed to improve physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to continue therapy at home.
  • Document patient progress, treatments, and responses to therapy in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable treatment environment for patients.
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), outpatient, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player.
